This Privacy Policy explains how Mira ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use our expense-tracking application on Android. Please read it carefully.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Mira does not collect, store, or transmit the following to any server operated by us:

Your financial transactions, budgets, or spending data — all of this lives entirely on your device in a local database.
Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifiers.
Location data.
Contacts, calendar, camera, or microphone data.
Bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or any payment credentials.

We have no user accounts and no backend server. Your expense data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the built-in share feature.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Mira stores the following data in an encrypted SQLite database on your device only:

Transaction records you create (amount, category, date, notes).
Budget limits you configure.
App preferences and settings.

This data is deleted if you uninstall the app. It is not backed up to any cloud service by us (it may be included in Android's standard device backup depending on your device settings).

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Mira displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following to serve relevant ads:

Advertising ID — a resettable, device-level identifier used for ad targeting and frequency capping.
General device information (OS version, screen size, language).
Approximate location derived from IP address.

Before showing ads, Mira displays Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog, which allows you to choose whether to receive personalized or non-personalized ads, in accordance with GDPR and other applicable regulations.

You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your Android device settings under Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

4. In-App Purchases

Mira offers a one-time purchase ("Remove Ads") processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase receipt validation is handled by Google Play's servers. We only receive confirmation of whether the purchase has been made so we can unlock the ad-free experience.

5. Third-Party Services

The following third-party SDKs are integrated into the app and have their own privacy practices:

6. Children's Privacy

Mira is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such information.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, there is no data for us to delete on your behalf. All locally stored data is removed when you uninstall the app.

To reset your advertising preferences, use your device's advertising settings as described in Section 3.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
